Karen is a world-class photographer located in the Greater Seattle area. She has been shooting for over 25 years, and her work encompasses everything from commercial to landscape and wildlife. Her background includes education in Fine Art, a Bachlors of Arts in English Composition and various photographic workshops. She has taught basic photography, including camera operation, composition and lighting.
Her current ventures include showings of her work, a new book and various other small projects. Her passion for conservation is leading her to work with the Woodland Park Zoo as a volunteer photographer.
One of her fondest memories was in receiving a “wow” from Bryan Peterson during a portfolio review at a workshop. It made her day!


This is Karen’s little assistant and model. He has been shooting since he was 2 ˝ years old. He is as comfortable in front of the camera as behind the lens. He trudges through all kinds of weather helping her with all her shoots. He holds equipment while she works, and Karen lost only one lens cap. He wanted to see if it would float. . .
